| Description:
A
chance to explore some of the mountain scenery of Cyprus
Heading
straight up from Limassol, we have our first stop for a
walk and coffee at the delightful artist’s village of Lania.
We will then head up to Kakopetria, where we visit first
the interesting Byzantine church of Saint Nicolas of the
Roof, built in the 11th century and entirely
painted with frescoes.
We
will then stroll around the fascinating old quarter of the
village with its narrow streets and traditional houses.
After lunch it’s on the picturesque village of Omodhos with
its white washed houses and timeless way of life.
Stroll
through the narrow streets and visit a traditional house
and an old wine press where village wine can be tasted. |
