| Description:
Heating
eastwards from Paphos, along the most beautiful stretch
of coastline on the island, we will first stop at Aphrodite’s
Rock, legendary birthplace of the citrus groves of the island’s
largest wineries. Here you will be able to see how wine
is produced and have the opportunity to sample some of the
famous brands of Cypriot wine. There will be time to shop
and have lunch. On the way back to Paphos, driving through
the British base and the old Limassol- Paphos road, you
will visit the famous Greco- Roman remains at Curium, which
include the House of Eustolios with its intricate mosaics
and the wonderful amphitheatre overlooking the sea, still
very much part of the theatrical life of Cyprus today and
the early Christian basilica with its cruciform baptistry. |
